
🧾 Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml milk (lukewarm)
- 80 g sugar
- 80 g butter (melted)
- 1 egg
- 7 g dry yeast (or 20 g fresh yeast)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
For coating:
- 100 g melted butter
- 100 g sugar
- Optional toppings: cinnamon, cocoa powder, chopped nuts

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Activate yeast:
Mix yeast with lukewarm milk and a little sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Make dough:
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, melted butter, and yeast mixture. - Knead into a soft, smooth dough.
- Let it rise:
Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
- Shape chimney cakes:
Roll dough into long strips. - Wrap strips around a greased rolling pin or cylinder mold, slightly overlapping.
- Coat:
Brush with melted butter and roll in sugar (or cinnamon sugar).
🔥 Bake:
- Place over a baking tray or grill setup
- Bake at 180–200°C (350–400°F) for 15–20 minutes, turning until golden and caramelized
- Carefully remove and let cool slightly.
