🧾 Ingredients:
- 500 g beef (cubed, chuck or stewing meat)
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 2 large onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tomato (chopped) or 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 green pepper (chopped)
- 2 carrots (sliced)
- 2–3 potatoes (cubed)
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 liter beef broth or water
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)

👩🍳 Instructions:
- Cook onions:
Heat oil in a large pot and cook onions slowly until soft and slightly golden—this is key for flavor.
- Add paprika:
Remove from heat and stir in paprika to prevent burning.
- Brown meat:
Add beef and mix well. Return to heat and cook until meat releases juices.
- Add flavor base:
Stir in garlic, tomato, green pepper, and caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer:
Pour in broth, cover, and cook on low heat for about 1 hour.
- Add vegetables:
Add carrots and potatoes, then continue cooking for 20–30 minutes until everything is tender.
