🧾 Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g butter (cold, cubed)
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 1 pinch salt

For the filling:

  • 200 g ground walnuts (or poppy seeds)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2–4 tbsp milk (to form a paste)

For finishing:

  • Powdered sugar

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Make the dough:
    In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
  2. Add butter and cream cheese, then knead into a soft dough.
  3. Divide into 2–3 portions, wrap, and chill for at least 1–2 hours.

    Mix ground walnuts, sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to make a thick paste.

  1. Shape cookies:
    Roll out chilled dough thinly.
  2. Cut into small squares or triangles.
  3. Place a small amount of filling on each piece.
  4. Roll or fold into crescent (kifli) shapes.

🔥 Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden

  1. While still warm, dust generously with powdered sugar.
