Ingredients

Chocolate Cake

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee or hot water

Caramel Cream Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (thick)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Frosting

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • 3–4 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two round pans.
  2. Mix all dry cake ingredients. Add eggs, milk, oil, vanilla.
    Slowly stir in hot coffee/water.
  3. Bake 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Beat cream cheese, caramel sauce, and cream until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Beat frosting ingredients until creamy.
  6. Assemble: cake layer → caramel cream → cake layer.
  7. Frost with chocolate frosting. Drizzle extra caramel on top if desired.
