🥣 Ingredients:

For the Paradicsomos Káposzta:

  • 1 medium head of white cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2–3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1–2 fresh tomatoes (or canned)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1–2 teaspoons sugar (to balance acidity)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Optional: 1 bay leaf

For the FasĂ­rt (Meatballs):

  • 500 g minced meat (pork or mixed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, grated or finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2–3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Paradicsomos Káposzta:

  1. Heat oil in a pot and sauté the onion until soft.
  2. Add paprika and stir quickly.
  3. Add shredded cabbage and mix well.
  4. Add tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar, and bay leaf.
  5. Pour in a little water and simmer for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and slightly thick.
  6. Adjust seasoning to taste.

2. FasĂ­rt:

  1. Mix minced meat with egg, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape into small patties or balls.
  3. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
