Swedish Pickled Cucumbers for Winter – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 250 ml white vinegar
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp dill seeds or fresh dill

Instructions:

  1. Place the sliced cucumbers and onions in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, peppercorns, and dill.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Let the brine cool slightly, then pour it over the cucumbers and onions.
  5. Mix well and let stand for 1–2 hours.
  6. Pack into sterilized jars and pour the brine over the top.
  7. Seal tightly and store in a cool place.
  8. Allow to mature for at least a week before serving.
  9. Once opened, keep refrigerated.
