
Ingredients:
- 1 kg cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 250 ml white vinegar
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 tsp dill seeds or fresh dill
Instructions:
- Place the sliced cucumbers and onions in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, peppercorns, and dill.
- Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Let the brine cool slightly, then pour it over the cucumbers and onions.
- Mix well and let stand for 1–2 hours.
- Pack into sterilized jars and pour the brine over the top.
- Seal tightly and store in a cool place.
- Allow to mature for at least a week before serving.
- Once opened, keep refrigerated.
