
Instructions
1. Cook the onions
Heat oil in a pot and cook onions slowly until soft and golden.
2. Add paprika
Remove from heat, stir in paprika quickly (important to avoid bitterness).
3. Add beef
Add beef, garlic, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Stir and cook for a few minutes.
4. Simmer
Add water or broth, tomato, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 60–90 minutes until beef is tender.
5. Add vegetables
Add carrots and potatoes. Cook another 20–25 minutes until soft.

- Deep red color from paprika
