🇭🇺 Hungarian Meatballs (Fasírt)

Ingredients

  • 500g ground pork or beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices bread, soaked in water and squeezed dry
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat, egg, bread, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs or oval patties.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the meatballs for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain on paper towels.

🍽️ Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
