🇭🇺 Hungarian Meatballs (Fasírt)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 500 g ground pork (or pork + beef mix)
  • 1 small onion (finely grated or chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices bread (soaked in milk and squeezed) or 80 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram (optional)
  • Oil for frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare mixture:
    In a bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, egg, soaked bread (or breadcrumbs), paprika, salt, pepper, mustard, and marjoram.
  2. Mix well until fully combined and slightly sticky.

    Form small balls or slightly flattened patties with your hands.

  1. Fry:
    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry meatballs for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
